What Does Worship Look Like?

Our worship brings together meaningful Lutheran traditions and a variety of musical styles in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

During worship, you can expect:

• Scripture & Message – Readings from the Bible and a sermon that connects God's Word to our everyday lives.

• Prayer & Reflection – Time to pray together, reflect, and support one another.

• Music & Praise – A blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship music, including contributions from our choir, handbells, and praise band.

• Holy Communion – We gather around the Lord's Table to receive God's grace through bread and wine.

• Community & Connection – Opportunities to greet one another, share in fellowship, and build relationships.

Children in Worship

At Hope, children aren't just the future of the church—they're an important part of our church family today!

We welcome the wiggles, giggles, questions, and joyful noise that children bring to worship. Families are encouraged to worship together, and worship bags are available at the back of the sanctuary to help keep little hands engaged.

Hope Lutheran is proud to be an active participant in Holy Playground, an initiative of the South Dakota Synod of the ELCA, which encourages congregations to create spaces where people of all ages experience belonging, build meaningful relationships, and grow in faith together.

Through Holy Playground, we're intentionally exploring new ways to make worship and congregational life more welcoming and participatory for every generation.

Because we believe everyone brings something, everyone needs something, and everyone belongs.

Music at Hope

Making a Joyful Noise Together

Music is an important part of how we worship, celebrate, and share our faith.

Our worship includes a variety of musical expressions, from familiar hymns to contemporary praise songs. Our choir, handbell musicians, and praise band help lead and enrich our worship throughout the year.

Whether you love to sing, play an instrument, or simply listen, music offers another way to connect with God and one another.
